Students from Akron Central Schools planted a Peace Garden at TRY in honor of former TRY board member, Sr. Karen Klimczak SSJ. The students gathered plants from the Akron community and worked for 2 days tilling, spreading soil and planting to create a beautiful space.

The 2009 Spaghetti Dinner was held atSacred Heart Academy on April 24. Artwork created by TRY residents was on display and available for sale. Thank you to Chef's, Rick Mills, SHA and Rich products for making this event a success.

The 2nd Annual Founder's Award Dinner and Auction was held at Salvatore's Italian Garden on September 26, 2008. TRY honored the Zonta Club of Buffalo and Betsy Harris for their dedication to the program. Guests enjoyed hearing testimonies from former TRY residents and participating in the live and silent auctions lead by Domenic Cortese.

The 4th Annual Founder's Award Dinner was held at Salvatore's Italian Gardens on October 23, 2010 and raised over $26,000. TRY honored Betty Eagan, the Billittier family of Chef's Restaurant, Ashley Nunz and students from Akron Central School for their contributions to the TRY Program.

Citi Volunteers transform Bathroom

On Saturday, October 23, 2010 employees from Citi transformed the bathroom at TRY as part of their Global Community Day initiative. The volunteers sanded, primed and painted the bathroom and donated beautiful shopwer curtains, wall art and all of the little touches that make it warm and inviting.
